Official Synopsis
In the twilight of his career, Randy "The Ram" Robinson (Mickey Rourke), a former professional wrestling star from the 1980s, ekes out a living working at a grocery store and performing for small crowds in local gymnasiums. After a brutal "hardcore" match leads to a life-threatening heart attack, Randy is forced into retirement. As he struggles to find a life outside the ring, he attempts to reconcile with his estranged daughter (Evan Rachel Wood) and finds solace with a local stripper (Marisa Tomei), only to realize that the allure of the ring may be the only thing that makes him feel truly alive.
